 Anfitrite New Releases

Introduction

Anfitrite, the symphonic metal powerhouse blending talents from Venezuela and Australia, is gearing up to enchant fans with two monumental releases. On December 25th, 2024, the band unveils Final Light, a mesmerizing single inspired by one of Hans Christian Andersen's timeless fairy tales, promising a spellbinding blend of storytelling and musical prowess. Shortly after, on January 7th, 2025, Anfitrite will release their fifth studio album, Clitemnestra. This ambitious work delves into the turbulent emotions and gripping narrative of Clytemnestra, the mythic sister of Helen of Troy and queen of Greek tragedy.

"Final Light" the new single by Anfitrite, Venezuelan symphonic metal band.

Anfitrite is a band from Lara state, now based in Caracas (Venezuela), which has been contributing to the metal scene of the country for some years, being one of the few that are dedicated to making symphonic metal at present.

In 2014 they made their debut worldwide with their first EP "Origo" and this work was followed by several more, until the release of their latest single titled "Pandora" in 2023.

They are characterized by writing songs about characters and events related to Greek Mythology, as well as stories and other fantasy literary works.

Now they announce the release of a new single, entitled "Final Light" whose inspiration is based on one of the many fairy tales written by the famous Danish writer and poet "Hans Christian Andersen".

This song is also part of the new Anfitrite album that is soon to be released, being a small sample of the new approach assumed by the band and the work at vocal level by Gina Bafile, who has now joined their ranks.

"Final Light" will be available December 25th, 2024, on Bandcamp and Ko-fi Shop, as well as on several streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Claro Música, among others.

A lyric video for the same song will also be released on Youtube:

Members:

  • Gina Bafile (Australia) – vocals
  • Sting Weiss (Venezuela) – keyboards, orchestration, grunt vocals
  • Islander Boza (Venezuela) – guitars
  • Jose Mendoza (Venezuela) – bass

The release of the new album will be announced very soon through the official website and social media profiles managed by the group.

Venezuelan symphonic metal band Anfitrite releases "Clitemnestra", their latest studio album.

After two years since the release of their last EP "Helena de Troya", the symphonic metal band "Anfitrite" returns in a big way to contribute again to the growing catalog of metal music made in Venezuela with the release of a new album.

The album is titled "Clitemnestra" (in Spanish) and is an album with 8 unreleased songs inspired mostly, as usual, in stories and prominent characters of Greek Mythology. Although some tracks based on fantasy literary works are also included.

The songs were recorded and produced in several studios by the band which is currently formed by Lord Sting Weiss Dragonheart, its founder and keyboardist, Gina Bafile, soprano singer from Perth (Australia) and leader of the project "Darkyra" who from now on will replace Ysis Vivas as vocalist, José Mendoza, on bass who is also part of the thrash metal band "Jihad" and the rock band "El último apaga la luz" and Islander Boza, former emblematic guitarist of Anfitrite who returns after his stay in the Venezuelan viking metal project "MortuoriuM".

The band defines this new album as their best work to date, marking Anfitrite's return to English language songs and assuming now a much more orchestral character in all aspects.

On the other hand, this time a greater emphasis is given to female vocals in the songs and a lesser presence of guttural vocals can be noticed, unlike their previous releases where both were present in almost all of their tracks.

The album takes as its central point the tragic life of "Clytemnestra", a mythological character closely related to Helen and King Agamemnon during the events that would trigger the legendary Trojan War.

The songs include a new version of "Pandora" and the single "Final Light" originally released on December 25th, 2024.

The cover artwork was created by the talented Veronica Cavallaro, an Argentinean designer with an extensive background in the international metal scene and who has worked with renowned bands such as Abrasantia, FirstBoune, Inner Sanctum, among many others.

The album "Clitemenestra" will be available January 7th, 2025, on Bandcamp, where you can listen to it for free and buy it directly in digital format, and it is also available on Ko-fi shop, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and Deezer, as well as other streaming platforms and digital stores around the world.

It will soon be released in physical format, specifically on compact disc and vinyl, both limited editions. The release will be announced through the official website and social media profiles managed by the band.
